Construction Email AI FAQ

The Construction Email AI Skill is a specialized natural language parser that monitors and reviews project mailboxes. It is designed to read subcontractor and consultant correspondence to isolate change-event notices, log commitments (e.g. "we will deliver the steel beams by Friday"), and automatically generate draft replies formatted according to construction contracts.

Subcontractors often send informal emails like "Hey, the drywall crew is delayed because of shipping issues." iFieldSmart's AI processes this text, identifies the underlying issue (material shipping delay), associates it with CSI Division 9 (drywall), maps it to the project schedule, and logs it as a potential scheduling impact event in the dashboard.

To connect emails to RFIs inside the system:

1. Open the project inbox inside iFieldSmart. 2. Select the email thread. 3. Click the **Link to Issue** button. 4. Choose an existing RFI from the list, or select "Create New RFI". 5. The AI will parse the email body, automatically populate the RFI description fields, attach relevant images from the email, and log the thread under the RFI history panel.

iFieldSmart's Email AI operates strictly on a "human-in-the-loop" model. The system does not have permission to send emails autonomously. When an email is received, the AI analyzes it, retrieves the relevant specification sections, and generates a draft response in the dashboard. The user must review, edit, and click "Send" to approve and deliver the email response.
