Meeting AI FAQ

The Meeting AI Skill is an automated recording, transcription, and meeting minute assistant. It transcribes audio from OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings, isolates distinct speakers (e.g. Project Manager, Subcontractor, Estimator), compiles action lists, and automatically flags any potential delay impacts to the project schedule based on verbal comments.

Standard speech-to-text engines often fail to transcribe industry terms (e.g. converting "RFI" to "our high" or "MEP" to "map"). iFieldSmart's acoustic models are trained on thousands of hours of construction OAC audio. It recognizes industry terminology, structural abbreviations (e.g. OAC, RFI, BIM, VE, LOD, CSI), and trade slang to ensure accurate transcript summaries.

To assign and sync tasks from a meeting transcript:

1. Open the transcribed meeting profile. 2. Navigate to the **Action Items** tab. The AI will display extracted tasks. 3. Edit task descriptions and select the assignee. 4. Click **Publish to Project Logs**. This imports the tasks to the main project dashboard, sends notification emails to assignees, and links tasks to meeting reference dates.

If speaker attribution (diarization) is incorrect (e.g. attributing the drywall subcontractor's comments to the MEP manager), open the transcript view and click the speaker profile chip above the paragraph. Choose the correct speaker name; the system will update the attribution throughout the transcript. To fix summary errors, highlight the paragraph and select "Request Re-summary" to regenerate the bullet points.
